SMCC using TCP Vegas: Self-Managing Congestion Control Algorithm System

As opposed to TCP Reno, the TCP Vegas in the early stages itself allows to recognize as well as avoid the periodic packet loss. In many cases it has been proved that TCP Vegas provides a better performance as compared to TCP Reno. Well even TCP Vegas has several issues which affect it’s anti congestion system. One of these issues is a TCP Vegas weakness that a good throughput expectation estimate observed, depends on a Good min RTT estimate. So as to increase the system robustness, alha and bets should be made more responsive to network conditions. This system aims to build a improved Vegas algorithm that can be adjusted to provide a better performance as compared to other transmission protocols. This proposed simulation result validates various benefits of improved Vegas algorithm with respect to performance.
